Yesterday, about 6 in the evening, a series of tornadoes passed through our community. Although it was a small storm, it did a lot of damage, very suddenly and with insufficient warning from weather authorities. Lots of homes were badly damaged and our elderly neighbors up the road lost their home completely...I understand the damage is equally bad further up the road. As far as I know, nobody in our immediate area was hurt, but some people up toward the highway were injured in the high winds. Cal and I talked to a woman whose home was blown off the blocks and the porch was ripped off, but she and her grandkids were okay inside. As for us, we're all okay, despite getting out of our house too late, but we lost most of our roof (it flew over my head...). Everything else seems to be pretty much okay, although if we have a rainstorm at any time it'll rain in on our stuff and ruin it. There's no power in the area, but we're hoping it won't take long to restore it. Right now I'm at my aunt's house.

Suffice to say, GP is on hiatus. ^^;; Prayer requested, not so much for us, but for the others whose lives were affected so much more, particularly for our elderly neighbors.
